Amelia Jáuregui
Amelia Jáuregui (born in Dallas, Texas) is an emerging cinematographer.
Jáuregui gravitates toward slice of life and coming of age stories that showcase the human experience. She strives to elicit raw and authentic emotion through her visual and technical storytelling. She values collaboration, creativity and the pursuit of common goals in each project.
Jáuregui is currently pursuing a Film Production (emphasis: Cinematography) MFA at Chapman University in the Dodge College School of Film and Media Arts. At Chapman, she is Co-President of Chapman Women in Film and the Cinematography representative/board member for the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts Graduate Student Council.
Jáuregui holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Multimedia Journalism and Strategic Communications from Oklahoma State University, graduating magna cum laude in three years. While at OSU, Jáuregui was a member of the Division 1 Cross Country and Track teams, President's Leadership Council, The O'Colly student newspaper, and Edmon Low Library's communications team as the video intern. Jáuregui was recognized for her involvement in the university as a Senior of Significance.
When not found with a camera (though it is rare), Jáuregui enjoys long distance running, live music, trying new coffee shops, spending time outdoors, and watching movies with her friends and family.
She currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.
